Some of Connie’s clients included The Gazette, the Cedar Rapids Symphony, the Cedar Rapids and Marion Libraries, the Indian Creek Nature Center, the Suzuki School of Music and St Luke’s and Mercy Hospitals. Connie had been the sketch artist for the Cedar Rapids federal court for KCRG Television 9 News since 1982. Her court illustrations had also been aired nationally on CNN News and Fox News. In addition, her work can be found in numerous public, private and corporate collections including The Physician's Clinic of Iowa, Millhiser-Smith Insurance, The Ronald McDonald House and Kirkwood Community College. She is a recent graduate of Coe College where she received her degree in Art and Public Relations. Gabriella Torres: Gabi is an abstract painter and creative place-maker living and painting in her hometown of Clinton, Iowa. She is one of the five 2023-2024 Iowa Artist Fellows. She specializes in creating large-scale, colorful abstract pieces that focus on themes of balance and connectivity to ourselves and to the natural world. She creates community-based art that promotes social experiences in underutilized and under-loved community spaces.
