Legacy Collections
On Walls
A home tells a story, and the art within it should be part of that story.
At On View Gallery, we work with individuals and families to thoughtfully build personal art collections that reflect their lives, interests, and connections. Through our Legacy Collections, we bring together meaningful pieces from family artists, local and regional artists, and one-of-a-kind works selected to create a collection that can be enjoyed today and passed down for generations.
Whether you're beginning your collection or adding to one you've built over time, we guide you through a thoughtful, five-step process to discover, select, and curate artwork that feels uniquely yours.
We believe art is more than decoration. It's a way to preserve stories, celebrate creativity, and build a lasting artistic legacy.
Explore our process below to see how we help bring your collection together.
-
1.Client Discovery
We begin by connecting and communicating with clients about design and interior goals. Asking specific questions helps us create a plan to curate artwork for each home.
-
2.Scout Artists
We create a portfolio of artists that we think fits the project requirements and meet with the client to narrow down artists that resonate with them.
-
3.Scout Artwork
From this selection of artists, a second portfolio is then created with available artwork for the client to chose from.
-
4.Display Artwork
If artwork hanging and display is needed, resources and follow through are scheduled and finalized.
-
5.Artwork Reveal
A guided walk-through with the client ensures that they are 100% satisfied with the final project. Art authentication certificates are given to customer to retain for their records.

"When the Derecho hit my family’s century farm, we were devastated. Hundred year old oak trees had fallen everywhere and we weren’t sure how to process it all. On View Gallery owner Bex Hurn walked through the pastures and fields and captured all of the beloved fallen trees and livestock still in the area. My family is extremely grateful to have our beautiful prints of the area to remember our family’s history." ~Bre O.
“On View Gallery connected me to local artists who brought beautiful artwork additions into my home while supporting my community. These pieces are in my backdrop every day and brighten up my home with artists I wouldn’t have otherwise known about without Bex’s help. I am grateful for the assistance she facilitated to connect me with these pieces and spark artistic joy in my daily life.” ~Ashley V.
Viggo takes his derecho book everywhere we go. It’s his favorite. “Thanks Bex” - Viggo

Bex was very prompt to follow up on shipping after I purchased the piece and arranged for the artist and I to meet personally so we could avoid shipping altogether! They also followed up on making sure I had received the piece. I was thrilled to hang this work from one of my favorite artists through On View! Excellent experience." ~Laura B
